How do I fix the front element on my figidaire gallery (pglef387cs4) stove?
The front element is a double element with an inner and outer part. Both behave the same way. When I turn the element on high, it turns red and starts to heat up. However, before it gets really hot, it goes out again. About half a minute later it turns on and then off again. It should turn on and stay on. It seems to me that a thermostat must be malfunctioning and reporting that the element is too hot when it is not yet hot. Is there a thermostat or a sensor associated with the element that I can replace?
How would I get at the thermostat? How would I find its identity so as to order it from Frigidaire. I've been to their website and technical drawings but could not figure it out at all. They have all the parts numbered, but not named, so it's impossible to tell what to order.
    Thank you for any help.
