How to change dryer vent location
Just bought a Kenmore HE2Plus, the dryer is vented to the back. What needs to be done to switch it to a side vent?

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry C2 but every model I have worked on vents to the back and I don't recall ever seeing any option for side discharge. You may need to vent back and do a 90 bend with a flex hose.

Ballenger1 is correct, most are this way. However, my Maytag has a knokout on the left side to do just what you are wanting.I have seen another model a good while back like this as well. You can look at the side of your unit has a knockout. If not you will have to do llike ballenger1 suggested.

How close to the toilet should the vent line be? I’m in the process of moving a toilet and am not sure if I need to extend the vent too. Currently, the vent line is about 6 inches from the toilet, and after I move the toilet it would be 2 feet. Thanks Scott
