GE Washer WJSR2070B2WW makes a clacking noise when in spin cycle
GE Washer Mod WJSR2070B2WW makes a clacking, grinding sound in spin cycle. It has all but stopped spinning. Sometimes, a little help with a small load will get it spinning. Agitator coupling?

That would be my guess, quick, easy and a cheap fix. Assuming that is what it is, get the part, lift in and manually pull out the agitator, unscrew the old coupler, install the new one and you are done. Parts are about $10-15 and it takes 15 minutes to do the job.

My kenmore washing machine when in the spin cycle makes an awful knocking noise and is actually not spinning but moves maybe 2 to 3 inches?. Could it just be the coupler?
