Ge washer keeps blowing fuse
I have a approx. 4 yr old GE top loading clothes washer model # WJRE5550H1WW. Recently, I realized that my washer would not spin or agitate. After some online research, I took the front cover off the washer to access the motor, wiring, etc. After a Ohm test, I realized the fuse was blown on the wiring harness. I replaced the fuse using the correct replacement fuse. I reset the computer by unplugging the washer and opening/closing lid 6 times. Flashing light indicated everything was functioning properly. I ran a empty wash cycle and the agitate and spin worked fine. Before I put the cover back on and called it good, I checked the spin and agitate one more time just to make sure. Unfortunately, the fuse blew again during spin cycle.
I replaced the fuse a second time... the spin and agitate worked but, again it blew 1 minute into the spin cycle. Uhhggg! I checked the power outlet and got a reading of 122v, which every outlet in my house is reading. I inspected all the wiring in my washer and I couldn't see anywhere a short may appear. What is wrong? Is my motor drawing too much power? And why? I am looking for any solutions before I have to spend over $100 on bringing a service tech out. THANKS! |

E fuse in Carrier gas furnace, model 58MCB, keeps blowing. Should a different fuse be used, or is the problem likely in a component.
I have an HK42FZ004 cercuit board. The fuse started blowing every so often after I resoldered two resistors with cracked solders. The fuse noe blows as soon as I replace it and turn on the power. I cannot figure out where the problem is. Please help
I am not sure what is happening, We have two units the upstairs is running just fine. Now the downstairs keep blowing the fuse in the furnace. What it does is that it will let the fan run but when I reduce the temp. so the a/c will come on it blow the fuse. Thanks, George
I had an earlier post about neither the furnace or a/c working... well the problem was a blown fuse, and I have no idea why I didn't find it earlier. Anyway, I replaced the fuse and the furnace heat now works, but when I go to the a/c, the fuse blows every time. My furnace takes a little 5 amp buss...
1998 Dodge Ram, been sitting for about a week, went to turn on windshield wipers and they didn't work. Check the fuse and it was blown. Changed fuse and as soon as I put it in the fuse blows. Did this several times and no luck. ANY IDEAS! THANKS,
