GE Refrigerator - Flap on ice maker keeps opening and closing
Model PFSS6PKXSS
The refrigerator and freezer work fine. The ice maker and water dispenser works are both working. Water is flowing to both. I requested ice and after the ice dispensed, the flap kept opening and closing. I checked for a blockage, there was none. I changed the setting and reqested water, that worked fine but that flap kept opening and closing. I unplugged the unit and gave it a "time out" for 10 minutes, plugged it back in, and the flap started again. I changed the water filter, still flapping. The only way I could stop the flapping was to disconnect the electricity to the door panel (the plug on the top of the unit right above the ice maker by the hinge). I want to fix it, but have no idea where to start. |

I purchased a new motherboard cause it was burned and I got the parts and its working good until the ice making doesn't work it just keep dispensing water and it leaks. What could be the problem?
I have a 3 year old GE Gold stacked refrigerator/freezer. The ice maker is leaking into the ice bin. The leak is a slow, constant drip that freezes into an icesicle. Annoying. Any advice would be appreciated ! :confused:

Originally my ice maker was making ice continuously even when the shut off arm was up. Now it won't work at all. Any ideas.
