Ge range broiler no longer working
We ran the self cleaning for the predefined time and there were no issues. Now the Broiler coils do not ever get heat. The Broiler light on the work panel lights up, but there is no heat in the unit. I tried to push the coils around a bit to see if they came out oa plug, but that did nothing. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Was this the first time you have done this self cleaning cycle?

On the coils, even a small defect in them will stop the entire coil to not work.

If you are willing, turn off all power to the unit(preferably at the breaker box or if free standing, disconnect the plug)Look close at the broiler coil, see how it's mounted,is there any screws to remove or is it a plug in only?

Remove the coil if possible. Are there any spots or defects you can see on it?What does the plug-in end look like,is it blackened in any way?

If no to all these visuals, you'll need to look at the actual plug.not knowing the set-up of your exact system, I can't say how you'll be able to visually inspect them, sufficient to say,if you can,the wires leading to it might be burned, this is also a replaceable item.

If you don't want to do this, an appliance store can readily troubleshoot this, and most likely repair in very short time.

Coping with a husband who is no longer working [ 4 Answers ]

Hello 3 years ago my husband stopped working and aside from voluntary work, he has not worked since. As time goes by, I am finding it hard to cope with a husband who is not working as well as a full-time job. Aside from leaving him, and I do not really want to do this, what else can I do?
