    Gas dryer will not heat
    The gas got turned off and my wife kept using the dryer , when I turned the dryer back on the igniter appears to be dead . Can I put 110v to this to check it ? Also what is the sequence of operation for this dryer . It is a GE MOD ddg 7280 sbl ww. Thanks for your help .

    Does the sparker make any sparks? Why was the gas turned off, was the gas line opened.

    This is not that type of igniter, it is a coil that glows . NO GLOW

    OK, why was the gas turn off, was the gas line opened. Does the dryer have thermocoupling. Does the coil light a pilot light?
