My garage door makes a screeching sound when going up?
My garage door makes a screeching sound when going up? I tried oiling the tracks but that doesn't help... Its coming from the third roller on the left side... but there seems to be nothing wrong with it. What do you suggest I should do with this roller because I want to fix this sound.

    Thanks

The tracks aren't really where you want to lubricate, not oil. Grab yourself a can of wd40 or they make "garage door lubricants but its just the same thing just a little thicker". Don't spray the tracks, spray the roller stem where it meets the actual moving part. Spray either end of the roller moving it back and forth as you do (sometimes its easier to move them if you have the door an inch or two off the floor) hit both sides of the hinge where it meets and bends. If you do this once a year (they recommend every six months) to each hinge and also hit the pulleys if you have stretch springs or the bearings on either side of the tube if you have a tortion spring. Your door will last a lot longer and sound way better as well

My Maytag Washer makes a screeching sound during the wash, rinse and spin cycle. Ive looked at the belt area underneath the washer. The sound does seem to come from the motor or agitator areas but rather the smaller pulley in the back portion of the washer. Any ideas?

Toilet makes screeching noise while being flushed [ 1 Answers ]

I just moved into a new apartment and the bathroom is brand new. I noticed a screeching noise(like fingernails on a blackboard, ouch!) that last for about 30 seconds when the toilet is flushed and was wondering if this can be fixed. Thank you.
