    Frigidaire reang display is dim
    The electronic display on Frigidaire gas range is dim. Oven and cook tops work fine.

    The display is getting tired. There are two or three different types of displays used on a modern appliance. They no longer use bulbs to light the display so if it gets to the point you can no longer read it you will probably have to replace.

    Our Jenn Aire did the same thing after 8 years. We let it go until we couldn't see the numbers (ever try counting beeps to make sure you entered the oven info correctly?) then called the service guy. He said it had to be replaced. I can't believe how bright the new one is, it practically lights up the kitchen. I think it cost about $120 to replace it but I could be remembering incorrectly.
