Frigidaire frontloading dryer is not heating
    Frigidaire P/N 134760100

What happens is the dryer turns on just fine but never heats. Then in the display screen instead of the typical timer, it reads "Ad." After running like this for a few minutes the dryer will shut off and all 3 of the lights under the display will flash quickly.

The manual says the dryer runs on "2 house fuses," and the heat won't work if one fuse trips. I go to my breaker panel and find the one labeled dryer. There is only 1 breaker, but it does take up 2 spaces (1&3). I trip the breaker and reset it but it does NOTHING! Washer and dryer are both on this breaker which is 30amp.

Anybody have any ideas? Anything I can try before I call a repairman? The dryer is maybe 10 months old and is still under warranty, but I want to rule out any possible problems on my end before calling for warranty work and end up having to pay because it was a problem with my house or something.

    Thanks guys

If you have a tester that can handle 240 volts you ned to verify 240 at the receptacle on the wall. Its 3 or 4 plong so you will have to try several combinations, don't know where you live or the age of your electric. If you can never get 240 but do get 120 part of your breaker has failed. If you are not comfortable with electricity this would be the time to call a pro or come back here with your results. Don't start experimenting now if you never worked on a hot receptacle before, ask first.

Thanks, I will check the voltage. I do have electrical experience, but I hate electricity! You REALLY have to respect it or it will get you!
