    Fan Switch
I am replacing a 3 speed 4 wire fan switch with one I bought from Lowe's. I connected the wires in the same numbers on the new one, and all I get is a humming sound on the fourth pull. Can you tell me how to connect the wires the right way to make it work. I have a orange wire from the forward switch, black wire from the fan, and a yellow and purple from the black box.
