Dryer Too Long to Dry Clothes
    Hello,

Our gas dryer is taking forever to dry our clothes. We have checked the exhaust duct and there is no issues there.

Is there some place that I should be checking? The clothese eventually get dry, but it just takes about 3-4 times longer than it should.

BTW - the sensor drying (set to "more dry" for example) isn't working either, the dial never moves from that spot.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Chris:

What brand is your dryer, and how old is it?

    Hi babyhuey,

Sounds like your dryer is about to bite the dust. Probably a lot of electrical issues going on inside of it. For instance when you move the dial to select more dry the dial may not be hitting the correct "sensors" for it to react. This may be a dumb question, but have you checked the lint trap? Excess lint in the trap will greatly hinder drying time, and it's also a fire hazard! You're best option is to probably have a pro check it out, or invest in a new dryer.

    Thanks,
    Farva
