Dryer fires on startup but won't refire when ignitor comes on during cycle.
This is a Whirlpool LGR5620KQ1, and starts up fine... the ignitor glows and the gas valve opens, producing a nice fire. The dryer then reaches temp and shuts off the burner. Later, when the ignitor re-ignites, however, the burner does not actuate. The ignitor remains glowing for maybe 5 to 10 seconds and then simply goes out... no fire. I have been told that this sounds like a gas valve coil problem, but I do not understand how the coils would be defective if they are allowing the primary actuation to occur when the dryer is started for the first time. I should note that, upon allowing the dryer to rest for about 10 minutes, it does properly fire upon restart. I have checked for lint buildup and there was virtually none. The blower is working fine. Nonetheless, I did clean the entire dryer system out with high pressure air and it is now as clean as new, yet with the same result. I'm stumped, and don't want to purchase parts that I don't need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just a quick thanks for your prompt reply. I ended up replacing both coils and the thing seems to be working like a champ. Thanks again.
