    Dishwasher Repair
My KitchenAid dishwasher door (KUDS24SE) suddenly is very heavy and I am reasonably sure the springs have broken. Is this something I can replace myself?

Easy repair if you can get spring. Disconnect water and (maybe) electric. Should have a couple of screws attaching dishwasher to bottom of counter top edge. Remove and pull dishwasher out about a foot. Springs are accessible on sides. If spring is indeed broken check local Freecycle listing for old dishwasher.

Hi-our dishwasher has 3-4 inches of clean water after every cycle. We took out every screen or hose possible thinking that it might be clogged. Nothing helped; so we're guessing it's pump that's not working. Should I get the pump replaced or buy a new dishwasher? Which would be less expensive?
