Changing the timer on a dryer
Can anyone tell me if I need any other parts when I change my dryer timer? This is my first time ever to do something like this. My husband will be proud of me if I can pull this off and fix it (since he is in iraq he cannot fix it). Thanks for any assistance anyone can offer me.

Once you buy the timer you have everything you need. Look it over so you can see how the wiring harnass attaches and where the time screws in. Remove the screws on the panel where your controls are located. I call it the tower and it should be about 4 screws holding the cap and end panels, remove the knob by pulling. Unplug the machine before you start. Once you are inside it should be straight forward to unplg the harness and remove the screws. Look at your new timer and be sure it looks like the old one before you start. Write back if you hit any roadblocks.

Some knobs need to be pushed in, and rotated COUNTER clockwise while pushing in.
