How many wires in the outlet box and what is the wall outlet configuration? How did you determine it is a 240 VAC power source?

There are 3 wires in the outllet box ,a 3 prong plug... and the general power supply is 220-240volts . But the washer/dryer unit is 120/240v .

Then you have to supply the proper voltage to each appliance. 240 goes to drier and 120 to washer. DrTom4444
