    My Cabrio gas dryer
We just purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio gas dryer. My wife says that the clothes come out damp, not real hot, warm and fluffy. We have tried the normal setting and heavy duty setting, and others in between.
    Are we doing something wrong?

If the dryer is new then the problem is airflow from the exhaust vent. You have to be extra careful that you have a short run on the hose and that it's straight. Any bends will cause the air to slow down and collect lint which stops it up. If the dryer is a year or more old then it needs to be torn down and cleaned.

A sponge fell down the opening of the "lint catcher" while it was out because I was removing back up lint. While the lint catcher fits back in, I do not know if it is dangerous to leave the sponge down there, and if so, I do not know how to get it out--tried with a hanger but couldn't catch on to...
