Ask an expert about dryer issues?
Whirlpool LER4600PQO Dryer - started not stopping at the end of a cycle and going into the next, also is getting overly hot.
By overly hot I mean even on the low heat cycle the element is getting bright red and clothes come out so hot they will burn your hands. Not to mention that even when in the "off" position the element would heat up so I started unplugging it when not in use. Went to go dry a load of clothes today and it will not turn on in any cycle, however, is still heating up. Will replacing the timer switch fix this or could there be a larger issue?

Kenmore dryer issues [ 4 Answers ]

I have a Kenmore dryer that has stopped heating. I got a multimeter and tested thermostats, fuses, and the element. Everything has a reading but the high temp thermostat, so I am assuming this is the issue. My question is I looked at it and the thing has a rivet holding it in. How would I go about...
