    Agitator problem
I have a Kenmore laundry center Model MLXE42RED, it is old I know but all the main parts work great.
I have had it apart a few times and manage to fix it myself, after having it apart the last time to change the bearings in the washer motor ( which they say you can't do and have to buy a new one) a problem accurred with the agitation.
The agitator works fine but the drum starts to spin after a few back and forths and it gets faster and faster, if I hold the inner drum by hand it works fine, if I let go it just starts to spin again.
I am at a loss as I can't figure out what is supposed to stop the drum from spinning.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Mick 45.
