    The type of partition needed for installation of Mac OS 10 depends on the chip architecture PPC and Intel processors have different requirements. Your question did not state what processor your computer is using. Here is a link to some information from Apple regarding Intel installations that may help. If you are trying to install on a non Mac Intel based system you can get lots of info by Googeling “”Hackintosh”
