I believe the service manual says to replace the main control board (expensive).
Before doing that, check out this post (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/appliances/error-code-f-01-whirlpool-duet-washer-250513.html) for a possible free fix. Look for the answer by user "v111".
Good luck!

It is a stuck relay on the control board and the relay is in a little plastic box soldered on the control board. Tapping it with a screwdriver unsticks it, but if it sticks again you can get another one and solder it on the board yourself with parts from Radio Shack and order the relay online if Radio Shack does not have it; plus you can buy one with a higher amperage rating on contacts and it will not fail again, most likely.
Here are some manuals: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8010163/Whirlpool_Duet%20Job%20Aid.pdf

You can test the relay with a good digital multimeter, but you will have to use a razor knife to temporarily cut a couple of circuit board circuits in order to test it.
