My washer has stopped after the fill cycle and has given me an F1 signal. Attempts to follow manuals instructions to clear and start again have failed, resulting again in the F1 signal. I'm wondering if, because the washer is filled with water, if draining it would allow me to reset, but I can find no way to bypass the cycle selections to drain water. Help!!

I suggest you learn how to use a meter. It's a basic skill that is super easy to learn. You have a bad fill switch, possibly, but check it out first before blindly replacing it.
