What does your employment contract say?
If you don't have an employment contract you can be let go without any notice - it's employment at will. You can fired for anything or nothing.

You have no grounds to sue the company unless they violated an employment contract. However, if they put it in writing that your co-workers can't submit a petition, they could be in trouble. They can ignore the petition, the petition has no binding effect on the company, but they can't stop the employees from creating and signing a petition.
There is an issue of here if what's right and what's legal. The fair thing to do would have been to warn you that continuing the relationship could result in termination. However, the resident may have felt that your continuing to work there would be annoying to her so she wanted you gone. Frankly, I think you made a big mistake in even starting a relationship.
What can you do? Move on and get a new job.

I have something to add - if it's employment at will, not by contract, your co-workers can be fired for submitting a petition. For that matter, they can be fired for something... or nothing.
Why did the woman you were dating tell the company that you were bothering her?
It's a new company. Were you fired because of the fraternization or because the woman complained?
