If he's not happy with his relationship why doesn't he leave? If he wants you so badly, and really is as miserable as he's telling you he is, then he has the choice, he can leave. If he stays, then ask yourself why. Better yet, ask him why.

They whine about how horrible their spouse is, how unhappy they are, they tell you they care about you, but make excuse after excuse to explain why they're still with the spouse "the kids are young and I don't want to leave them, she'll be heartbroken if I leave and I can't do that to her, I made a commitment, I can't afford a divorce.....".

You have a choice too. If you hate that you're helping this man commit adultery, then stop seeing him. Love is blind, but it doesn't have to be deaf and dumb too. You have the choice to leave him, find someone that is available to you and doesn't cheat on his wife in order to be with you.
