My daughter is 5 years old & has my last name. Her father is not on her birth certificate. I am getting married in a few months. We, myself, my daughter & my fiancŽ, would like for her to have his last name. My questiins are as follows: Can I legally change her last name? 2, will this effect her child support? Thanks

You generally need the biological father's permission to change the child's name.

A name change will not affect child support.
