It is the riser for the kitchen sink. Access is limited. Do I cut into the wall and run a new riser?
The project started with me replacing the washer drain pipe (cast iron). The washer drain and the sink drain connect. Replaced the wye connect the washer drain and got back up to the washer and in the sink.

Hi Ssj21667
Why replace the cast iron vent pipe in the wall... is it leaking or badly corroded?
If there are no issues that require replacement then you can simply connect onto the old cast iron pipe using a cast iron x PVC SHIELDED TRANSITION CLAMP... see image below.
Let me know what you think,OK?

You wish to replace the kitchen vent stack. Why? Just because it's cast iron? Other reasons? Back to you, Tom
