On Monday, I discovered my musical instrument was broken. On Tuesday, my music teacher told me the next day she could give it to a company that comes in and they would be able to quickly fix it, probably without charge.
I informed my father, (my mother is deceased), and he agreed that it would be a good idea. Wednesday, my music teacher gave me a note saying my flute would be back on Wednesday. I informed my father.
He was a little angry because he wanted it back right away. Thursday, I got a voicemail on my cellphone, (I guess, the company read my "if found" sticker), saying my instrument needed this and that and for a price of $50 they could fix it.
I informed my father, very fearfully as $50 was a bit much. I assumed he would call them back and decline politely. He completely freaked out. Then wrote an email to my principal saying how angry he was at my music teacher for not giving me a permission slip and for her going through me instead of contacting him.
Then he swore at me and said he was not angry at first only because he thought it was a done deal, though I tried to point out that I had told him beforehand, he had a choice, and he said "yes".
I'm so terrified now of going to school tomorrow. My music teacher will be so angry at me and accuse me of not informing my father, when I did, with the limited information she gave me. I'm also terrified that I may have to talk to the principal. I am a straight-A, award-winning person and have never had to deal with such a situation before. I am so confused.
How can I fix this situation and make peace with everyone involved?
Thank you so, so, much!
