I am coming up to my first winter in this unit which has a Red T furnace made for mobile homes.
The model # is DGAA0077BDTA and the Serial # is 010113672. I have tried to get it running ready but it just won't even ignite. A repair guy who took forever to come and look at it after promising to be out later the day I called has said it is out of production and it is impossible to get any parts for it to service or repair.
But after googling it I have seen plenty of references to it being serviced, repaired and more, so he wasn't telling me the truth and I think he was just hoping to take advantage of a blonde on her own in a trailer. Well, lone and blonde doesn't mean stupid and I have no intention of accepting his offer of a new boiler at a bargain price around $2K!
So can anybody tell me what I should be checking to see why it won't ignite and work? It gets cold here in Michigan and is already heading that way some days, and I have even had to turn the oven on just to get warm a few times - can't afford to do that too many times! Thanks if you can help.
