I live in Kentucky. We are building a new home. I have a genral contractor and he hired a plumber to rough in the basement plumbing. It is all wrong. He put my bar sink in the middle of the room... In the bathroom I wanted a sink, urinal, and a toilet.. he plumbed it for a sink, toilet and a shower. He forgot to put in any floor drains which I asked for. When I told him about he mistake the said he would fix it but that the floor drains are considered Openings and he charged $400 an opening. So he wants me to pay $400 each for two floor drains. Remember all the plumbing in the basement is rough in, I don't plan on finishing until about a year after the house is built. I guess what I am asking is how much rough in plumbing should cost and is a floor drain really considered an opening?
