Can I sue my ex housemate for throwing out my property without a warning or permission while I was on holiday abroad? This happened 10 months ago when I called my landlord (while still on holiday) and gave my rent termination notice.

Hello J:

Yes, and depending on where you live, you only have a year to do so. Of course, suing is not winning. Bring PROOF.

Yes you can, you will have to prove that this person did it, and that you owned the property that was thrown out. Also prove the value of the property for the claim.
And yes in many places there is a time limit to claim, I would also ask why you have waited to do anything

10 months ago my ex housemate threw all my things out the flat that we were renting. I want to take him to court, is it not too late, how much time do I have. Where can I find out more about it. Thank you

First, please don't start a new thread for a follow-up question. Use the Answer This Question option. I've merged the threads for you.

Second, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale since laws vary by area.
