I need help switching a American Standard ASYSTAT655A thermostat to a Hunter Set and Save model 44360 programmable thermostat. I need to know what the wiring schematic needs to be going into the hunter from the American standard.

I hate to say this but Hunter thermostats are junk and you will be better served by a Honeywell,White Rodgers,or Venstar.

As for your question all you need is to mark the wires on the AMstd thermostat and follow the instructions for the other unit.

And then hope it will work, you will be lucky if it works, and very lucky if it lasts 6 months
