I have a Frigidaire Side-by-Side refrigerator with a water filter (pure source 2) in the upper right side of the frig. It leaks, air gets in the line and causes loud knocking sounds and the replacement part is expensive. I'd like to bypass the filter unit by simply connecting the input and output hoses thus making it an uninterrupted flow of water without interruption by a filter unit. Can I do this without causing a different problem?
Do I need a bypass unit to bypass the filter in my frig or can I simply connect the input and output hoses to make an uninterrupted flow? I can't imagine this won't work but want to be sure before I cut the hoses.
