I have a 5 mo old Border Collie Puppy who just had her Distemper shot (last of initial shots) yesterday.
After about 6-8 hours later, she was completely lethargic (very obvious for a Border Collie) and in pain. I hoped that it would go away after a good night's rest but it has continued. I dropped her off at the Vet this morning at 8 and the doc said it was 'Injection Trauma'. She never had it with the previous injections and now they will probably bill me for the treatment (Injection of Benadryl plus an antihistamine).
My question is this: shouldn't the vet be responsible for this? It's not about the money, but shouldn't they treat her without a charge? I am seriously considering another vet if they DO charge me.
What do you think?
