So, I replaced the conduit protecting my AC wires to my heat pump/compressor outside.
Steps I took are:
1. pulled the switch out powering the outside unit.
2. removed the cover from the panel (it is a carrier unit)
3. wrote down all of the wires and their positions on the screw terminals.
4. took off all wires.
5. removed the old conduit
6. ran the wires through the new conduit.
7. replaced the wires.
8. replaced the cover
9. replaced switch.
10. Went to the thermostat and switched the fan to "on"
11. Cursed because it didn't turn on.
Is there like a reset button or something I have to push to get it to understand that I plugged it back in? Again it is a carrier unit with a honeywell thermostate... I checked the breaker and the AC should be receiving power.
I appreciate the assistance.
