I am replacing a 5 wire Honeywell digital heating & cooling thermostat with a Hunter 7 day programmable thermostat. The letters on the terminals are not the same. Does any one have a conversion chart?

From a Honeywell to a Hunter is a mistake. Hunter in my opinion is not a good thermostat!

As far as changeover all you need to do is follow the directions that come with the thermostat. OR You can post the terminal letters available for each thermostat along with the EXACT model of each thermostat. Also post the brand and EXACT Model number of your inside unit and state if gas or electric. I will look at the information and see what wires go where if possible.

The Honeywell is a model T8401C with terminals: W=white wire, Y=yellow, G=green, R=red and C=blue. The Hunter is a model 44660, with terminals: Y1, RH, RC1, RC,Y/O, W/B, and G. The furnace is oil forced air with airconditioning. Thank you

Here is the factory manual for your old thermostat. You have the new manual for your old thermostat. It should now be easy for you to do the change over.
