I'm looking into moving into a new place but a bit skeptical because: The street the new place is at, has a flow well underneath. I'm not sure what this means, does it mean there is no piping under or that there is a flow well unit that will eventually allow seeping of water through. There is also a lake near by (approximately 7 blocks away);

Can someone please explain what a flow well under the street mean and what are the health consequences (or home stableness is)?

Thank you,

Clare:rolleyes:

Not sure either, hope one of the other pros here can clarify. Why exactly are you concerned, did someone bring it to your attention. Whoever mentioned it should be able to expain it. And please let me know what this is if you find out. Im thinking maybe they meant artision well?

Ask city engineer. Artesian well is a well that produces water without a pump. Usually have to drill very deep for these. Maybe talk to some of the neighboring homeowners and ask them if they know anything about this.

Sounds like you have a Artesian well to me. Cheers, Tom
