AnaConda- FROM what you have said , it could be one of two things.#1- The gas burnner or #2 it could very well be the ( AIR SHUTTER ) out of adjustment ; I used to find that this was more the cause of trouble then anything ;; #2- AIR SHUTTER CHECK OUT>-
FIRST,REmove the lower access panel, Look at the FLAME,And if the flame is a light blue and has a roaring sound, indicates that it has too much air comeing to it OR IF THE FLAME is
Alight blue ,with YELLOWE TIPS , this indicates ,TO LITTLE AIR :: THIS MEANS THAT THE AIR SHUTTER IS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT:: NOTE - [ the flame burns a mixture of GAS AND AIR . AND THESE IMPROPER MIXTURES LEAD TO POOR COMBUSTION AND INEFFICIENT HEATING>
TO ADJUST THE AIR SHUTTER:: #1- LOOSEN THE THUMB SCREW WITH YOUR FINGERS< MOVE THE SHUTTER Until YOU HAVE A LIGHT BLUE FLAME THAT HAS NO YELLOW TIP AND HAS NO ROAR SOUND COMEING FROM
IT AND HAS THE PROPER AMOUNT OF AIR AND GAS MIXTURER : RETIGHTEN THE THUMB SCREW ON IT AND CLOSE UP PANEL AND TRY OUT GOOD LUCK AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU COME OUT ::HAVE A GOOD DAY AND GOD BLESS::F.B.E.
