I have been addicted to oxycontin and methadone in the recent past. Now I am in the process of a divorce and am being charged by my husband with marital waste. I feel the addiction and depression caused the excessive spending. I don't remember a lot of what I did during this time, and want to know if the spending could have been a result of the addiction and depression. I have been ill for a long time and have had 12 surgeries for ulcerative colitis. I live with chronic illness and pain. My doctor prescribed the medication and I was on it for 3 and 1/2 years. I have not taken any narcotics since 2004. phyllisjbp

YES!! You do a lot of things you normally wouldn't do when your using... Go to your pharmacy and get a print out of all your rx's you have haved filled during the years you were using it. I learned that in treatment we do a lot of crazy stupied things when were using...
Best of luck to you,

You should have a doctor or psyc. Doc take a look at the situation and make a statement on whether they think your addiction could be a reason for spending so much money- it may be thrown out due to your previous illness

I can tell what your going through. I think I'm beginning to become addicted to aderol. Basically ritilin for adults for those of you who don't know what that is. Definitely go see a phychiatrist for that. Sorry for the incorrect spelling. Make sure it's a psychIATRIST not a psychologist because psychiatrists are more knowledge able about perscription drugs because they often perscribe drugs like the ones that you were abusing.
PS let me know how this ends. That is if you don't mind. God Bless
One last thing, sorry to SPAM, but if anyone reading this has ever gotten a DUI and has tips or knowedge on what's going to happen in terms of punishment please post an answer n my only question, "got my first, and definately last, dui and tips?" or something like that.
Thanks again. And good luck.
