I have been addicted to oxycontin and methadone in the recent past. Now I am in the process of a divorce and am being charged by my husband with marital waste. I feel the addiction and depression caused the excessive spending. I don't remember a lot of what I did during this time, and want to know if the spending could have been a result of the addiction and depression. I have been ill for a long time and have had 12 surgeries for ulcerative colitis. I live with chronic illness and pain. My doctor prescribed the medication and I was on it for 3 and 1/2 years. YES!! You do a lot of things you normally wouldn't do when your using... Go to your pharmacy and get a print out of all your rx's you have haved filled during the years you were using it. I learned that in treatment we do a lot of crazy stupied things when were using...

You should have a doctor or psyc. Doc take a look at the situation and make a statement on whether they think your addiction could be a reason for spending so much money- it may be thrown out due to your previous illness

I can tell what your going through. I think I'm beginning to become addicted to aderol. Basically ritilin for adults for those of you who don't know what that is. Definitely go see a phychiatrist for that. Sorry for the incorrect spelling. Make sure it's a psychIATRIST not a psychologist because psychiatrists are more knowledge able about perscription drugs because they often perscribe drugs like the ones that you were abusing.
