Sir,

I have installed AVG 8.0 free version installed in my windows XP.
It has pointed out that the computer is infected with win32/heur virus.
Please help me to remove the win32/heur virus, since the AVG Anti virus could not remove it? Since the reporting of infection by AVG, the INTERNET EXPLORER was not funtioning and I was browsing using Mozila Firefox browser

Thanks in advance to all,

Yours

It seems the AVG is finding this one as not other antivirus prgs, try this online scanner to see if same thing comes up
Trend Micro HouseCall - Free Online Virus and Spyware Scan - Trend Micro USA (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/)

It's not really a specific virus/trojan, "heur" means AVG sees something suspicious based on its rules-of-thumb (heuristics). There may in fact be nothing to remove, and it may be a false positive (usually as a result of a program doing something that's usually done by operating system programs). Since different AV programs use different heuristics, they may give different false positives. Some games will cause this kind of false positive. You may be able to turn off heuristic scanning in AVG, check the program options.
