I have a rectagular counter top which has one front edge cut on an even diagonal. I need to know how to miter these so the trim can wrap around the outside edge. Would it be 22.5 cuts?8923

Short answer is yes for miter saw setting (90 - 67.5 = 22.5).
For a perfect 45 degree diagonal countertop corner, the interior angle is 135 degrees. The trim pieces can be cut on any two angles that add up to 135 degrees. You could do 90/45, 67.5/67.5, 45/90, or any combination adding up to 135 degrees depending on how you want the seam to look. I doubt the corner cut is perfect, you'll probably need to start with the diagonal piece and then fit the side trim.

FYI: Diagram was done with a very old free copy of TurboCAD 4. I also like ProgeCAD's free version: ProgeCAD LT/Smart/Whatever-the-heck-they-are-calling-it-today (http://www.progesoft.com).
Please, post a pic of finished countertop.
