Good Evening Everyone,
I have a cabin that the squirrels and mice and raccoons potentially have had a little too much fun in the attic space. I head out tomorrow to address the "access" issue and then the "smell" issue. It has already been noted that fecal material exists in the attic space from said animals. I have been scratching my head about what to use to sanitize and eliminate odor caused by the animals fun. I thought about lime but don't know if it's a good idea to use in an enclosed space that regardless of effort could find it's way into human living space. This cabin is rented by vacationers and I would hate the idea of a child or adult getting ill from either a lack of treatment or the wrong treatment for the problem. Granted, I want to remove the insulation, remove the foreign matter, and re-insulate but I need to know if there are other options to offer the homeowner. What do you think?
