My partner has been with me since my daughte was 3 she is now away to be 7 she has not seen her real dad since she was 4 .she sees my partner as her dad although see knows how her real dad is. Not if your ex (your daughter's father) is willing to relinquish his rights in favor of the adoption. Are you and your "partner" married? Planning to get married? (Not that unmarried people can't raise children, just thinking would be easier for any future adoption proceedings... the courts love the wholesome, conservative idea of what a family is).
