Hello to Everyone..

I'm interested to pick up and share some good practices to help enjoy life more.

At the moment, things which I've found have helped are hot baths with about 3 table spoons of sea salt added, having a clean and tidy home, and sometimes if I really don't feel right I try and take comfort in superstitions like lighting a white candle or reading the bible and praying!

The troubles I've had can be triggered by small things which other people would just shrug off, but generally its either some relationship or difficult task at work, which then if I can't get my mind clear of disturbs my sleeping and then the tiredness makes it worse!

The worst it got was in 2004 when a sequence of events like this occurred and eventually after a few days of trying to live a normal life, I got taken by police from the middle of a road at 1pm in the afernoon, wearing no clothes and was made to stay in a mental institute for 3 weeks!

I was given a clean bill of health, but it shows the importance of finding peace of mind and being able to sleep properly.. I wonder if anyone else has had experiences similar to this, or what people in general do to keep themselves refreshed..

Best Wishes

William. (chained_to_the_wind)

Hi,
Thank you for asking a question here, and Welcome to this site. I am sure you will get many answers.
Personally, I believe in getting 8 hours of sleep at night. At 64 yrs old, I need all I can get! It keeps the brain activity alive, alert, and I don't feel "tired".
I also have arthritis. For a couple of years, it did hurt, taking away from being happy, and not knowing what to do. Finally, tried Glucosamine-Chondroitin capsuls, and have been using them for the past 4 years! No more pain!
Being around other people, talking about life, other things, keeps a person alive and mentally well.
Being on the computer really helps with sharing.
I do wish you the best best, and remember; Only you can change anything.
The best "saying" that I follow is:
It's not what happens to be today, it's all in how I accept it. If I can do anything about it, do it. If not, don't worry about it and move on.

Yes its interesting how people can write to strangers about things which have happened in their lives which they wouldn't be able to tell people they've known for years in real life.. it does helps to share what's on our mind...

I'm glad these capsules have helped with you.. I have also some herbal remedy tablets which contain extracts of the "valerian" plant which have helped me relax and sleep on occasions when its difficult and I need to..

And I love the ear nightingale quote.. nice one..

Best Wishes, Will
