Could be a couple things; there are several heating elements that one or more could be bad, but from MY past experience, check the voltage on the cord where it connects to the dryer and make sure it has 220 volts coming into the dryer.
I'm just guessing it's an electric dryer.
During my run on this sort of problem, it turned out to be a $7 cord.
