Safety cutoff switch on air from small fan draft inducer fan I think high temp bimetal disk? Trips when its bypassed using aligator ciips furnace works. Is the switch just weak tripping when it shouldn't The furnace will work fine for a couple of weeks then not ignite because this switch is tripped. Is the furnace overheating because it needs cleaning or is the switch just needing to be replaced. There is a switch on the air from the two fans main fan and inducer fon . Also switches by the two burners. I thought of swapping the burner switch with the fan switch but mabe they are different set to trip; @ defferrent temps. If they were swapped and the one now on the air from the inducer now did not trip it would indicate a weak switch? Carrier 58DHC075 FURNACE. Thankl Terry

Replace the thermal temp disk with the same part number. Do not substitute any other disk. I hope this disk is still available. Check with your local Carrier parts supplier.
