My right foot started itching on Thursday of last week. The itch acts very much like a severe pain that hits every few seconds only it is a severe itch inside my right foot. When it started it was in the left heel area but it has moved down to the left side of the ball of my foot behind the big toe. The itch is so intense that it almost makes you sick and you can't resist scratching it. When you do it seems to increase the itching. I went to the doctor and he said he didn't know what it was but gave me Loratadine. I had been using Benadryl, creams, ice, heat, vibrator, etc. and nothing seems to help. I have timed the strikes of itch and sometimes it is five seconds, fifteen seconds up to five minutes apart. I don't get much sleep and need to know if anyone else has ever has such a problem and what to do about it.

I have just gotten the same problem a week ago, it is driving me crazy same symptoms as you, I have tried all the itch creams and such, the only thing that soothes it is to itch it. What kind of doctor did you go to? I may try to go tomorrow.
Please e-mail me on any more information that you have.
Thanks

I realize it has been quite a while but did you find anything out and/or what relieved it? My 7 yr old has been having the same thing for 2 days and they are saying it's left over from Fifth's deisease he had last week.

I have had this same itch now for over 3 years and it has caused a rash on my foot with serious peeling too. Does anyone know how to treat it or get rid of it? I am so annoyed by it that I just want to cut off my foot. It is my left foot and the itch is so intense that when I scratch it it seems as thought it itches extremely more and I have tried not to scratch but this is so intense that I can't control it so I have no choice but to scratch and I mean scratch till it bleeds sometimes.
Help Me Please!

I have had this problem for several years - it wasn't from a skin condition it is from the nerves in the feet. The only think that ever helped for me was ice - which was very inconvenient when it would start itching and you weren't at home. It was an agonizing condition - I would cry it was so constant and horrible - well - I have got it FIXED. I went to an accupuncture doctor and he totally eradicated the problem in just 3 sessions - it was amazing - give it a try - it works!
