Because you will get your heart rate up making it difficult to fall asleep.

Its okay to exercise a little earlier at night. I typically work out between 5-7pm. But I then don't go to bed until 11pm. But if you go to bed at 10pm and are working out at 9pm you might have some trouble falling asleep. Plus you get all of those chemicals going in your brain that make you alert and peppy.

I take a really hot shower to put me asleep ahahha.

I don't even know if it helps I just like ot let myself think it does.

My body is weird though. I can workout before bed but I will only feel awake for 10 minutes. Once I hit the bed. ZzZzZzZZ It hits me :p

I thought that maybe it wouldn't help lose weight any or somethins so it would be just a waste of time... As for me... exercing can me tireing at times

Exercising a watse of time? Noooooo.
I love working out.

Yeah I mean it is tiring but if you're a newbie you start slow, then slowly work your way up to high intensity.
ITs consistency, the more you do, the stronger you get and the longer you can push it.

I prefer working out at night, cause like then all the food kind of goes byebye. XDD

Well what I meant was I always thought that if you are trying to lose weight and they say not to exercise before you go to bed then I always thought that maybe exercising wouldn't help you lose weight... I like working out but its to hard for me (im a beginer .lol )

Haha yea me too! I just get tired.

And BR_hjs
Sometimes working out can make you gain wegight. Muscle weight. I learned the number is not as important as how you look.
I love working out, it gets boring but I try to make it fun! Hahaha xD

(Gooooodnight!)

Yeah.. I try to look at the scale thinking that it helps and if the numbers lower then I must look better.. not always true. And it bothers me when its higher. Lol. So I try not to look at the scale and go by how I look instead.
I usually listen to music when I work out. Music makes me all hyper anyway. Well, most of the time... sometimes it makes me tired

Haha You know, I cry (not literally) if it's a high number.but you can be at a low nubmer and look like POOPOO.

I think the toner you are the better but omg I hate high numbers!
Hahaha Yea I feel like nothing is happening when I work out.

Me tooo, music actually makes oyu go more :D
And don't think of exercise to be boring.
You know, like running, soccer, tennis, football, walking, dancing, swimming, so many other things are all work outs as well, its not always a weight and a gym. I mean depending on your age, if your young like me, you want a fun workout that you can do with your friends, and it won't even feel like you are working out.

*If you like video games, DDR (dance Dance Revolution) is fun and a good form of exercise.

Sep 23, 2007, 11:58 AM
Yes it can be very boring without music... and yeah I used to like to go for walks with my friends all the time but that's was all we would do when they would come over and they got tires of it and quit coming over

Well you have some lazy friends then lol.
Try to get them to play some sports with you!
Or the best thing you can do, join a sports team in your school.

If your not up for that if you have any pets, walk them, or walk with a family member, like if your mom/dad want to go to the store, tell them to walk there if it's a quick stop, getting even 10 minutes of exercise helps better then getting nothing

My sister is wanting to lose weight so I walk with her sometimes but she almost never goes... maybe like once a month she goes and its not enough. She says she doesn't feel good or doesn't have time. She always has an excuse... by the way she doesn't even have a job and my parents would never spend that much time with me... they spend all their time with my older brother and my nephew

Marzapan741

You have to motivate your sister, get her off her bumbum and out the door!

Your parents would spend time with you if you ask them :)

Sep 23, 2007, 02:11 PM
No they wouldn't... I've asked before they say things like mayber later or tomorrow and then they never do. My mom said she would get me some new clothes for school... I've been in school almost 2 months now and don't have them. She won't go driving with me either and I've asked her plenty of times.( I just got my permit)

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 02:15 PM
Oh, you can drive aloen though right?

br_hjs
Sep 23, 2007, 02:17 PM
No. If I could I would drive out to a park or somewhere and walk and I would go buy me an iPod to listen to music while I'm doing it... I've been waiting forever for my mom to take me to get an iPod.. She seems to think that I want her to buy it and I don't. I told her I would buy it I just need her to take me somewhere but I've been waiting a long time now

Marzapan741

br_hjs
Sep 23, 2007, 03:22 PM
They don't stop anywhere near my house and my parents wouldne let me they would say "just wait and i'll take you" but they never do take me

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 03:25 PM
You should step up to them and be like
"What are you doing thats sooo important now that you can't ever take me to go out?"

Or be nicer. It depends . My parents, they accept an attitude from me because they know I have one and as long as I don't say anything mean or bad to them there okay with me having an attitude :p

How old are you anyway ?

br_hjs
Sep 23, 2007, 03:28 PM
16... I've tried telling them and they just get all mad

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 03:29 PM
Aw :/
Idk,

I guess just work out how ever you feel comfortable but I suggest trying out for a sports team at school, its fun.

br_hjs
Sep 23, 2007, 03:32 PM
My schools like 30 min away and I don't want anything to do with the school... I would love to do track and it would do a lot of good but I'm really against the school

I hate everyone their and don't want enything to do with them because of how they are and how they act also I didn't want to go to that school my parents forced me to. I said from the start anyone their who tried talking to me I wasn't going to talk to and I stayed with it. I met my boyfriend and talk to him but no one else

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 04:08 PM
Dotn let that stop you. If they don't tlak to you, you should talk to them. Don't be shy. Try to get out there and do stuff

br_hjs
Sep 23, 2007, 04:26 PM

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 05:13 PM
Do you talk to them?

br_hjs
Sep 23, 2007, 05:24 PM
Yeah I try to but they always seem like they don't care about anything I have to say

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 05:26 PM
You have to find your own clique. People that you connect with.
That's why joining sports can help

I know how people at my school are and I don't want anything to do with them. Also, I don't like to do anything if there's people around... I don't even eat lunch at school or take gym even though its required (I get a doctors note)

Marzapan741
Sep 23, 2007, 06:39 PM

Oh that's good news because the only chance I have to exercise is late at night and after I go straight to bed... I'm a beginner so any tips at how much exercise I should do please?
