I am so frustrated. I have such a hard time controlling my body temperature. I have been told I have chronic fatigue related to having Mononucleosis twice when I was younger. I have been told I have Epstein Barr, also related to chronic fatigue. I have bouts of bad body pain in my arms, hands, feet, fingers, knee's. I don't sleep well, and I am super tired. I also get really hot for no reason, when no one else is hot at all. When that happens I break out into a sweat, especially on my face. My face feels like it is burning up and I have a cold sweat on my chest and back. I soak my shirts. This makes me self -conscious and then I get hotter and sweatier. I have had my thyroid tested and results were normal. I have been tested for Rheumatoid arthritis and results were normal. I used to be closely watched when I was younger because my father is diabetic. I don't think I have been tested specifically for that lately, but have had blood tested for other things and they didn't mention anything. I need to find some relief. Help me.

Time to be tested for diabetes. Have you ever been tested for Lyme Disease?

I don't know what could be wrong but if it makes you feel any better at all I have these exact problems and I been tested for diabetes and I am borderline diabetic. I hate the hot flashes I call them even though I am only 27 yrs old and the sweating so bad that it just drips of my face it is embarrassing. Let me know what you find out

I can't quite figure out how to reply, so hopefully this is right. I spoke to my mom about this and she said it might be my medications. I take, effexor xr, prevacid, and yaz. I have had these symptoms since way before I started any of these medications. My mother also mentioned that it sounded like hot flashes and there are rare few women who have early onset menopause( spelled wrong). I am 3o years old. Anyway, now I am freaked out.

Yes effexor xr can cause that but I am with you I had that problem way before I ever got put on that maybe the next step is to just get our hormone levels checked

I would double check those thyroid panels. I was told for years my levels were normal, turns out the lab was using an outdated scale and my TSH was nearly a 10!
Regardless of the thyroid I would be certain to get copies of your lab tests from your doctor. Anyone can read the results they were literally say "out of range or in range" and list the range numbers.
I wish you well in this, I know how hard it can be when you know something is wrong with you but can't figure it out. I would also recommend a Function Doctor they look at the body as a whole instead of individual symptoms. I finally got help when I went to one, just a suggestion.

Please have your gyn/ob doctor test your hormone levels. I stopped having periods when I was 36. It was fine with me but my mother and sister insisted I see a doctor. My gyn ran a hormone check test. My Prolactin level was higher than normal. A CAT scan revealed a Pituitary tumor that was pressing on the Prolactin producing cells. I needed surgery. Don't wait - see your doc.
