On opening the inside foil packet of a genuine Lexmark 100XL cyan ink cartridge, I found it full of liquid blue ink. All over my hands, my desk, and the paperwork thereon. I can't return it to the point of purchase and calls to Lexmark tech-support seem to result in a minimum wait of more than 30 minutes--no matter what time I call. Despite the obvious fact that these little things are expensive (and purchased in a "multi-color three-pack"!), I think they have some kind of duty to make right the damage that their faulty product has caused. Anyone have any ideas?

Return it to the place of purchase. Sorry you said you can not. Why ? It was bought somewhere, that is where you take the item to be replaced.

I cannot return it to the place of purchase as it was purchased at an Office Max in California and I am no longer there!

Hi
You can try this no 1(800) 513-5157, you might get right assistance or fill their form stating your problem @ Greenhaven (http://greenhavensupply.com/contact/)
And yes or you can call HP Tech support, but I am not having any information about the contact details. I read it somewhere, so I mention it to you. But the details I have mention will hopefully serve you right.

Lexmark warranties their cartridges, provided they have not been re-filled!
If calling the technical support lines does not work for you, call the corporate facility in Lexington, KY. They can a will help you.
